💡 Active Crop & Cycle shows the crop currently growing and its cycle number on that field. Cycle numbers are tracked independently per crop — S-Nappier on Field C may be on Cycle 2 while Corn on Field A is on Cycle 3. Full history is in the Production Cycles tab.
Production Cycles
Full journey from land preparation to harvest, including costs and yield tracking.
Crop Stock & Projections
Current inventory, projected incoming yields, and cost-based valuations.
ℹ️
Unit conventions: Silages displayed in kg (bags shown for reference; 1 bag = 50 kg, 1 tonne = 1,000 kg). Alfalfa in bales (1 bale = 20 kg). Pit/bulk silage entered in kg directly.
Internal Feed Purchases
Livestock's internal purchases of feed from Crop Production, recorded at the agreed transfer price. Each purchase order requires authorisation before stock is released.
ℹ️
Transfer pricing: Internal purchases are charged at the external market price minus a 20% internal discount (set in Settings). This creates feed revenue on the crop side and a feed expense on the livestock side — keeping both operations accountable.

External Feed Sales
External sales of processed feed products. Revenue flows to Crop Production. Cost figures are the production cost per kg (growing costs plus any processing costs recorded at harvest); cycles without a recorded processing cost will understate true cost.

Internal Feed Transfer Pricing
Internal purchases (Crop Production → Livestock) are charged at the external market price minus this
discount. Lowering the discount increases Crop Production's internal revenue and the livestock
operation's feed expense; raising it does the opposite.
External Feed Sale Pricing
For each feed product, set the allowed selling price as a markup % over its production cost per kg
(100% = breakeven, no profit; 200% = price is double the production cost). When recording a sale, you'll
pick a markup % within this range and the price per bag/bale is calculated automatically — eliminating
manual price-entry mistakes and showing your profit margin upfront.

⚠ Danger zone
This permanently wipes all crop fields, production cycles, internal feed purchases, and feed sales
recorded in this module. Use this only when you want to start entering fresh data — for example,
after testing or before going live. This cannot be undone.
Add New Field
ℹ️ You only need the name, area, and notes here. Crops and cycles are assigned when you start a production cycle in the Production Cycles tab.
Edit Field
ℹ️ Editing here only updates the field's name, area, and notes. To manage crop cycles on this field, use the Production Cycles tab.
New Production Cycle
Crop & Field
Uncheck for Alfalfa or S-Nappier ratoon cycles that go straight to replanting.
Land Preparation (all dates must be today or earlier · cost = total for that activity, labour + equipment)
Uprooting trees, cutting grasses/bush — first-time or recurring clearing before plowing
Planting (must be on or after last land prep date · today or earlier)
Projected Harvest (future dates allowed — this is an estimate)
Will be pre-filled from the previous cycle once crop & field are selected.
Growing Phase Costs (fill now or edit later)
Basal + top-dressing combined
Hand-weeding once the crop is up — herbicide can risk damaging the crop at this stage
Cutting, collection & moving the crop from field to chopper / hay area — not processing or storage labour
Moving processed feed into the warehouse
Describe any extra cost not listed above
Included in the totals below
Auto-calculated totals (growing phase only — processing costs added separately)
Audit
This module is admin-only — entries are recorded under "Admin".
💡 Only Crop, Field, and Created By are required to start. Record land prep dates/costs as they happen, then add the Planting Date once planting is done — everything else can be filled in or edited as the cycle progresses.
New Internal Purchase Order
= 500 kg
This becomes a feed expense for the livestock operation and internal revenue for Crop Production.
Record Feed Sale
Auto-assigned sequentially.
Silage sold in bags (50 kg); Alfalfa sold in bales (20 kg)

Enter the price for one whole bag/bale, not per kg.
Leave blank if payment is expected immediately on delivery.
Cost is the production cost per kg (growing + processing costs recorded at harvest). If processing costs weren't recorded, this will understate true cost.
